Most home buyers start their search on the internet. Pictures are what draw traffic to homes for sale on the internet. Good pictures create the most interest. Curb appeal is as important as ever. You cannot get a buyer to look inside if they don’t like the outside. We all agree that you cannot judge a book by the cover, but it is done daily by buyers who have so many choices when searching for the right home.

The exterior of the home is definitely a good place to start when preparing a home to sell. Take a look at the homes on your street that are for sale and grade the curb appeal with an A, B, or C. Then think about the subtle changes that could be made to improve the appearance from the road. What would it take for your home to look better than the homes for sale in the neighborhood? It is just like pricing your home. What price would make your home the best deal? Ask your close friends what they would suggest you do to the curb appeal of your home. Obviously, you can’t listen to some of your friend’s opinions because their opinions are always bad, but some will give you great advice.

Buy professional magazines about homes and gardens to help you pick colors. Watch television shows to help you with curb appeal ideas. Fertilize and water your lawn. Trimming your trees will do wonders for the “look” of your yard and curb appeal.
